Just before 7 p.m. Sunday, an 18-year-old man who had just gotten cash from the drive-through ATM at First County Bank at 1980 W. Main St. was approached by a man who pointed a gray handgun at him and demanded all of his money, police said.
The victim was on foot at the time, police said. The suspect was wearing dark clothes and a hoody, police said. Officers responded to the area but weren't able to find a suspect.
Early Sunday morning, a man in his early 30s who had left a bar at about 1:30 a.m. was approached by two men who punched him in the face in an unprovoked attack at about 2:15 a.m. in the area of East Main Street and Lafayette Street, police said. He fell to the ground, and the two suspects stole several hundred dollars from him, police said.
There were no descriptions of the suspects in the robbery. The victim was treated and released from Stamford Hospital for a minor face injury, police said.
