Capt. Richard Conklin said members of the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad officers on patrol broke up a group of about 30 men and women hanging out near Ursula Place, a location where police receive numerous complaints of drug and guns from residents of the complex, added the Stamford Advocate.
Three plain clothes officers, in an unmarked car, spotted a man standing next to a gold Honda, take something from his clothing and put it in the front bumper of a nearby Ford Expedition. A check of the area turned up a loaded .38 caliber Interterms revolver in the bumper, Conklin said.
The man, Daquan Carter, 43, of Spruce Street, was arrested along with another man sitting in the passenger seat of the Honda, Richard Davis, 23, a parolee from Waterbury, the newspaper said. A loaded .38 caliber Colt Cobra revolver also was found, the article said.
Both men were held on $75,000 bond, Conklin said.
