STAMFORD, Conn. -- Three men have been arrested in connection with the beating of a man who had attempted to protect his girlfriend from being harassed at a Stamford night club earlier this month, police alleged.
Andre Bryant, 32, of 28 Perry St., Stamford and two Bridgeport men: Darius Gamble, 30, of 109 George St., and Woodrow Wilson Walker, 36, of 109 George St., are each charged with two counts of third-degree assault and two counts of conspiracy to commit assault.
The attack occurred about 1 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at the Sweet Water Lounge on Greenwich Avenue, Sgt. Kelly Connelly said. When police arrived they discovered a 37-year-old man with his right eye completely shut, a large cut to his face, a cut to his lip and a possible broken jaw, Connelly said. The man suffered the injuries after he went over to aid his 39-year-old girlfriend who was being harassed by a man. That man and at least two other men turned on the boyfriend and severely beat him, police said.
Police eventually identified the three men and they were arrested this week on separate days.
