Three Hurt In Stamford Shooting And Assault

STAMFORD, Conn. — Police are investigating a incident Sunday in downtown Stamford in which two men were shot and one assaulted, a Police Department news release said.

The three were found near the intersection of Broad Street and Greyrock Place. One had blunt force trauma injuries, one a gunshot wound in the left leg and one gunshot wounds in the stomach and buttocks, the release said.

All were taken to Stamford Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, the release said.

Officers did not find a gun at the scene, but shell casings were recovered, the release said. The victim who had the gun did have a permit for it, the release said.

No arrests have been made. Police ask anyone with information to call the Detective Bureau at 203-977-4417.
