Police caught up to the teen and tackled him, and found the loaded semiautomatic pistol in his pocket, the Stamford Advocate reported. Police told the Stamford Advocate that it had five bullets in it and the serial numbers were filed off.
The teen was charged with possession of a firearm without a permit and illegally altering the identification number on a firearm, the Stamford Advocate reported. The gun was sent to a state lab for ballistics tests, police told the Stamford Advocate.
