Suspected Pot Dealer Busted In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — A suspected marijuana dealer was arrested Monday evening in Stamford, Sgt. Robert Shawinsky said.

Police were going to arrest Johnson Pavlemon, 32, on a failure to appear warrant when they found marijuana at his Glenbrook Road residence, Shawinsky said. There were two large bags with a combined 2.3 grams of marijuana, and 14 smaller bags with a  total of 12.9 grams found along with plastic bags, a grinder, and a digital scale, the sergeant said.

The officers were actually leaving after no one answered the door, when Pavlemon’s girlfriend came home and let officers in, Shawinsky said. They then found the suspect apparently hiding in the closet, though he told them he was looking for something in there, the sergeant said.

Pavlemon and his girlfriend gave police permission to search the home when the drugs and paraphernalia were found, the sergeant said.

There were two boys, 7 and 3 years-old, sleeping and safe, Shawinsky said.

Pavlemon was charged with second-degree failure to appear, possession of a hallucinogen more than four ounces of marijuana, sale of a controlled substance, operation of a drug factory, and two counts of risk of injury to a child, police said.
