Police were called to an apartment on Perry Street for a man who had a cut on his arm and were met by an angry man holding a bloody towel around his arm, the Stamford Advocate reported.

The wounded man, identified as Curtis Spruill, 23, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., said he just wanted an ambulance and did not want to tell police what happened. After questioning, he told officers that he had been slashed with a knife by a man at a nearby store, the newspaper added.

But police were suspicious, and during the questioning, Maize admitted that she had stabbed him after becoming "furious" with him, the Stamford Advocate said.
