STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford Police charged a man with multiple counts one year after he led police on a high-speed chase through Stamford and Greenwich, injuring four officers in the process, according to ctpost.com.

Manuel Vidal, 39, of Bridgeport, was charged with engaging police in pursuit, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, first-degree reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and six counts of assault on a police officer, ctpost.com reported.

Vidal led Stamford Police on a chase southbound on Interstate 95. During multiple attempts to stop Vidal's Geo Prism, he rammed police cruisers on several occasions, ctpost.com said.
