After entering the home, the burglar went straight to the master bedroom and grabbed the jewelry, police said. There was no description given of the jewelry, Sgt. Robert Shawinsky said.
The break-in occurred between 5:30 and 8 p.m., when the homeowner was away, Shawinsky said.
A neighbor spotted a suspicious car in front of the home during that time, and walked toward it but the driver fled, Shawinsky said. Police said tracks could be seen in the rear of the property leading to the sliding door that was broken.
