STAMFORD, Conn. A Stamford man is lucky to be alive after his girlfriend allegedly cut his neck with a wine glass about one-quarter inch from his carotid artery, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said.
The two were arguing when Dalinda Bullock, 43, allegedly took her glass and hit the victim, cutting his neck, Hohn said. Hohn said alcohol was a factor in the argument, which took place around 3 a.m. Sunday, and that he didn't believe the woman intended to do serious harm.
The man was bleeding heavily and was taken to the hospital for treatment, Hohn said.
Bullock was charged with first-degree assault, and breach of peace, Hohn said.
