STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford resident Wayne Alexander, also known as “Uncle Easy,” 50, pleaded guilty Monday in Hartford federal court to one count of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of cocaine base, according to Deirdre M. Daly, U.S. attorney for the District of Connecticut.

According to court documents and statements made in court, between February and April 2015, law enforcement conducted three controlled purchases of crack cocaine, totaling about 130 grams, from Alexander.

Alexander was arrested on a federal criminal complaint on May 11, 2015, according to officials.

He is scheduled to be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Vanessa L. Bryant on Monday, May 30, at which time he faces a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years, according to officials.

The matter has been investigated by the FBI’s Bridgeport Safe Streets Task Force Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bridgeport Police Department and the Stamford Police Department.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Douglas P. Morabito.
