Steven James Ballard, 35, of 102 Holcomb Ave., was charged with first-degree trespassing after he returned to108 Lockwood Ave., minutes after officers had told him to leave, police said.
Offices were called to the residence after a report of an unwanted male who had created a disturbance after knocking on apartment doors, police said.
When officers arrived at 4:25 p.m. they found Ballard sitting on a rocking chair on the front porch with two half-empty 40-ounce Olde English Malt liquors close by.
He explained to officers that he was waiting for a friend to return to the residence, police said. Ballard was told he had to leave, and he complied, Sgt. Chris Weed said.
However, police received a call at 4:31 p.m. that Ballard had returned. Officers found him sitting on the rocking chair and this time arrested him on a charge of criminal trespassing, police said.
