Miguel Angel Palencia, 30, of 81 Dora St., turned himself in to police Monday evening after learning he was wanted after a yearlong investigation, police said.
The investigation began when a Stamford Credit Union customer went to police to say someone was making purchases using his debit card number, police said.
Palencia is also accused of using a credit card to buy a motorcycle from a local business, police said.
Other victims came forward, and investigators found the common denominator was that all of the victims had been customers of Newfield Green Dry Cleaners, police said.
Palencia was charged with nine counts of credit card fraud and one count of third-degree larceny, police said.
Bond was set at $5,000, and Palencia was held for an appearance Tuesday in state Superior Court in Stamford.
