Police told the Stamford Advocate that the girl's family reported that the girl was missing in October. She was eventually located with 19-year-old Adelso Santiago-Gomez of Stamford in New Jersey, and brought back home to her family, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Police determined that Santiago-Gomez, who was originally charged with risk of injury to a child, had had sex with the girl, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, the Stamford Advocate reported.
He was arrested on Friday and charged with sexual assault, and held on a $150,000 bond and a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold, the Stamford Advocate reported.
