Stamford Man, 45, Found Dead At Home

STAMFORD, Conn. — Police are investigating a suspicious death of a 45-year-old Stamford man, who was found dead on Sunday morning, a release from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations said.

Officers were dispatched to 329 Sylvan Knoll Road where the body of the resident Russell Pinto was found, the release said. “Several areas of trauma” were found on Pinto’s body, which caused the department’s suspicion, the release said.

The body was removed and sent to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday, the release said.

Police executed a search warrant at the residence and the Crime Scene Investigations Unit processed the scene where Pinto was found, the release said. The investigation is still active.

Investigators are looking for information about Pinto’s whereabouts for Saturday night and people can call police at 203-977-4417.
