Allen Claxton turned himself into Stamford Police Thursday morning on a murder warrant, said Capt. Richard Conklin.

He was expected to be released early this afternoon on $150,000 bond, Conklin said.

Eden Claxton, 74, was found June 11 in the bedroom of the couple's Hycliff Terrace home after Allen Claxton called 911 around 8:30 a.m. to report that his wife was covered in blood and not breathing, Stamford Police said.

When officers arrived at the home, they found him leaning over his wife's body, police said.

Her death was ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner who said that her throat and extremities had been cut.

Allen Claxton was injured as well with a black eye, bruises, and ligature marks around his neck, Conklin confirmed.

Conklin would not speculate if the couple may have had some sort of murder-suicide pact that went wrong.

Allen Claxton is expected to appear in court on Friday due to the domestic nature of the crime.
