Stamford Firefighters Battling Two-Alarm Blaze At Home Near High School

STAMFORD, Conn. — The Stamford Fire Department was out in full force late Wednesday afternoon battling a fierce blaze in a home near Stamford High School.

The fire was reported at about 4:30 p.m. at 26 Underhill St., and a second alarm was sounded, according to the Stamford Fire Department on Twitter via ‏@SFDPIO.

The fire was first reported as a blaze in the basement, but firefighters were setting up ladders and hoses around the two-story home as the blaze appeared to have spread throughout the house.
