Michael C. Bell, 49, and Christopher E. Jones, 34, were busted around 1 a.m. Saturday after the unit received a tip the two men were selling drugs from a tan Nissan in the parking lot on Stillwater Avenue, said Capt. Richard Conklin.

As officers approached the vehicle, they could smell the PCP,  a “very potent hallucinogen," said Conklin.

“It has quite a unique odor that is easy to recognize,” Conklin said.

During a search of the vehicle, Bell attempted to eat a small amount of PCP and crack cocaine but officers were able to restrain him before he swallowed the drugs, he added.

Jones was found to be in possession of 15 bags of PCP, 3.7 grams of crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana, Conklin said.

Bell was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of a hallucinogen, and interfering with an officer.

Jones was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a hallucinogen, possession of a hallucinogen with intent to sell and possession of marijuana.
