Stamford Continues Increased Security

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford will continue to have heightened security around the city a day after the explosions during the Boston Marathon, a statement from Ted Jankowski, director of Public Safety, Health and Welfare.

Here is the full statement:

“In the wake of the Boston Explosions, the City of Stamford continues with heightened security at prominent locations throughout the city.  As in all major cities, we have heightened our awareness, some visible and some not visible. We do not have any specific intelligence but we have to be prepared. Stamford residents should be alert and we ask them to be aware of their surroundings.”
