Stamford Boosts Security After Boston Explosions

STAMFORD, Conn. — Emergency workers in Stamford have been placed on alert in the wake of the explosions at the Boston Marathon, a release from the city’s Office of Public Safety, Health, and Welfare said.

Police officers were mobilized and security was increased downtown and at other prominent locations throughout Stamford, the release said.

The Emergency Operations Center is open and monitoring the situation, the release said.
