The semi-automatic pistol was inside a white plastic bag in a pile of leaves behind the building on Wednesday, the Stamford Advocate reported. Police had received a call Wednesday evening about the weapon, which was found in an area where there have been several shootings and drug activity recently, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Police told the Stamford Advocate that the gun had six rounds in it and the serial number is still on it. The gun was in good shape and could have been hidden for a few days, the Stamford Advocate said. Police are investigating.
