Wednesday's violence involved one group luring two teens into an ambush with knives and claw hammers at a north Stamford gas station. One of the teens suffered stab wounds and a collapsed lung, the Stamford Advocate says.
Community leaders, including city Rep. Steve Kolenberg and finance board member Sal Gabriele, will address violence on the city's West Side and South End in a press conference at noon Friday outside the Stamford courthouse. There have been 22 shootings in the city since March, and that includes three on Sunday on the city's West Side, the Stamford Advocate reports.
