Officers went to an apartment complex on Henry Street at about 11:30 p.m. and found blood all over one apartment and a broken knife handle on the floor as well as a knife blade stuck in the door of a nearby apartment, the Advocate said.
Officers learned that Arturo A. Garcia, 31, had been taken to the hospital by his cousin, Jose M. Aviles-Gil, 23, the Stamford Advocate said.
At the hospital, officers determined that Garcia had started a fight with his neighbor, Alex Vasquez, 46, whose wife, Olivia Ramirez, 40, attempted to intervene, police told the Advocate.
Garcia grabbed a large kitchen knife and plunged it into his neighbor’s front door, breaking the handle and cutting himself in the process, the Advocate said.
All four people were “extremely intoxicated and uncooperative,” police told the Advocate.
Each was issued a misdemeanor summons, and Garcia was also charged with third-degree criminal mischief, the Stamford Advocate said.
