The Stamford Police Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad had launched an investigation into 19-year-old Bismal Almanzar, and during the investigation he sold crack to an undercover officer on three occasions, according to the Stamford Advocate. During two of those purchases, he used a 15-year-old girl to help him with the sales, the Stamford Advocate reported.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken into custody at his home on Viaduct Road, the Stamford Advocate reported. While searching his home, they found six grams of crack, as well as a loaded .38 caliber revolver, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Almanzar was charged with a number of offenses, including risk of injury to a minor, possession of a gun without a permit, and sale of narcotics, according to the Stamford Advocate. He was held on a $150,000 bond.
