A 16-year-old went to Stamford Hospital after he was shot in the shoulder outside La Quinta Inn and Suites on Harvard Avenue, and a 19-year-old who was so drunk the he did not know he had been hit in the shoulder and stomach arrived a few hours later, the Advocate said.

The city's eight shootings since March 25 may be related to rival groups from Connecticut Avenue and Spruce Street, police told the Advocate.

In a second shooting early Monday, a man was cut by broken glass at a home on Ranson Street, the Advocate said.
