Police told NBC Connecticut that surveillance cameras recorded Joey Comunale going into the Grand Sutton at 59th Street and First Avenue in the morning, which is when he was seen last.
Search dogs were deployed for Tuesday's search and crime investigators reportedly were spotted taking bags with evidence out of the apartment, according to NBC Connecticut.
Investigators said they located bloody clothing and sheets, said NBC Connecticut.
New York Police Department K9s found evidence of blood on a luggage cart belonging to a building resident, according to the Daily Mail.
The disappearance of Comunale, who reportedly went to Hofstra University and Westhill High School, is under investigation "as a homicide," the Daily Mail said.
