Philadelphia Man Sentenced In Stamford Rape Case

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Alfred Butler, 61, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to two years and a day in jail for raping his girlfriend two years ago in Stamford, according to the Stamford Advocate.

In addition to jail time, Alfred Butler will be permanently listed on the state’s Sex Offender Registry.

In addition to the jail time, Butlere will also spend 12 years on special parole after his release and the rest of his life on the state’s Sex Offender Registry, according to court records, said the Stamford Advocate.

The judge also issued a standing criminal restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the 48-year-old female victim in the case.

Butler was arrested in Stamford on Nov. 9, 2013, soon after a woman he had been dating said he had raped her. The woman said Butler, became angry when he caught her talking to another man on the phone and forced himself on the her, police said.
