A Norwalk man was busted with a half-ounce of cocaine after members of the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad received intel he would be in town dropping off drugs.
Steven Castro, 28, was arrested Friday night after officers spotted him driving a Nissan Sentra and made a traffic stop, said Capt. Richard Conklin.
During the stop, officers uncovered 10 bags of cocaine clenched in his hand and in his shirt pocket and $1,332 in cash, Conklin said.
Castro was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. Police also confiscated the cash, Conklin said.
He is being held on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 1.
