Man Robbed Of Cellphone By Four Teens, Stamford Police Say

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Four suspects surrounded a 34-year-old man as he got out of his vehicle late Friday, punched him in the face and robbed him of his cellphone, Stamford police said.

The attack occurred on Victory Street near Piave Street around 10:30 p.m., police said. After he was punched, the man fell to the ground, police said. 

One of the suspects grabbed his cellphone while he was on the ground and the suspects fled, police said.

The suspects were described as black males in their teens, police said. The man experienced some pain and a cut to an elbow but declined medical assistance.

Police were investigating.
