Man Charged With Stealing 2nd Car From Stamford Rental Company

STAMFORD, Conn. – A man who rented but never returned a $40,000 2015 Toyota Highlander from a Stamford rental company earlier this year was charged with trying to steal a second vehicle in August, reports the Stamford Advocate.

Anthony Norwood, 47, of Queens, N.Y., returned to Stamford courthouse Wednesday and was charged with stealing a Highlander from Toyota of Stamford Rental Car Division in January and held on a $50,000 court appearance bond, according to the report.

In August, Norwood was charged with larceny, forgery, taking money from a revoked credit card, illegal reproduction of a credit card and credit card theft for allegedly trying to steal a similar vehicle; he was held at the Bridgeport Correctional Center in lieu of a $40,000 court appearance bond, reports the Stamford Advocate.
