STAMFORD, Conn. -- The ex-Stamford policemen who resigned in December pleaded not guilty to a felony larceny charge in court in Stamford on Monday, Jan. 11, the Stamford Advocate reported.

Donald Chen told investigators he was in Taiwan — when he was actually in Hawaii — after the commander of the reserves contacted the Stamford Police Department on Dec. 8 looking for Chen, the Stamford Advocate reported.

Chen is charged taking his police pay when he was supposed to be with the U.S. Army Reserves, but was on vacation instead, the Advocate said.
