Bridgeport Man Charged With Selling Crack In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man with a history of drug convictions was charged with selling crack to an undercover police officer in Stamford on Thursday, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that 32-year-old Jerrell Cook, who is out on parole, was arrested after a weeks-long investigation carried out by the Stamford Police Department. Police said that he sold crack to an undercover officer, and was arrested with a large amount of cocaine and more than $1,000 in cash, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Cook has previous convictions for selling narcotics, breach of peace, interfering with an officer and interfering with an emergency call, according to the Stamford Advocate. He was also accused of eating a bag of crack five years ago while being arrested, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Because he violated his parole, he will not be able to post the $100,000 bond, the Stamford Advocate reported.
