Travis Marcell Snow of 604 Williams St., Bridgeport, was arrested Monday.
Snow was charged with two counts each of criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, two counts of possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, use of a machine gun for an aggressive purpose, possession of a large capacity magazine, sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Last month Stamford Police arrested Martquise Dukes, 26, of 165 Spring St., Bridgeport during the investigation.
Capt. Richard Conklin, at the time of Dukes' arrest, said police had information Dukes was bringing up drugs and weapons from North Carolina. When members of the Narcotics and Organized Crime unit attempted to stop the rented North Carolina car on Richmond Hill Avenue, Dukes - who is alleged to have been the driver - spun the car around and escaped and grazed the NOC vehicle, Conklin said.
The suspects drove on to Interstate 95 and police called off the pursuit due to the risk to the public, Conklin said. However, officers saw a cloud of dust in the distance and discovered that it was the rental vehicle that had left the highway between Exits 8 and 9. One suspect, who was injured in the accident, was found hobbling down the embankment by police. Another man and a woman were also arrested by police near the scene.
Police recovered a TEC 9, a semi-automatic pistol that is banned in Connecticut, along with five magazines for it. The TEC 9 can be altered to fire automatically.
