At AAA’s sixth Annual Community Traffic Safety Awards lunch held recently at Testo’s in Bridgeport, AAA recognized Booth -- nominated for the award by Assistant Chief Tom Wuernemann – for his work on the city’s "U Text. U Drive. U Pay" campaign and sobriety checkpoints.

Booth is consistently one of the department’s lead officers when it comes to the number of arrests and tickets issued for impaired driving and cellphone use.

In addition to his tireless efforts, he is the “go-to guy” on motor vehicle enforcement issues. As a vital member of the city’s Collision Analysis Reconstruction Squad, Booth also investigates all major motor vehicle collisions in the city.
