12 People Displaced By Fire In Stamford Home

STAMFORD, Conn. — A dozen people were displaced and a child was taken to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation after a fire in a Stamford home Wednesday afternoon, according to NBC Connecticut.

Smoke detectors alerted the occupants, who all evacuated after a fire started in a bedroom of the home at 46 Seaside Ave., NBC said. 

The fire heavily damaged the second floor, and there was water damage to the first floor, NBC said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
