Theresa DeLuca, 98, Of Stamford, Former Specta-Tech Employee

STAMFORD, Conn. – Theresa M. DeLuca, 98, of Stamford, died on Thursday, March 12.

DeLuca was born on Oct. 31, 1916 in Calitri, Italy to Vincenzo and Micheline Zabatta.

She worked for Spectra-Tech as an assembler until the age of 77, when she retired. She was the consummate homemaker, a wonderful mother and enjoyed cooking for her family especially on holidays. As the outgoing person that she was, she enjoyed music and dancing.

Theresa is survived by her daughters, Mary Fiordelisi and her husband, Theodore of Stamford; Margo Pasquale of New Rochelle, N.Y.; her son, Anthony DeLuca and his wife, Irene of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. DeLuca was predeceased by her daughter, Dolores Freccia and two sisters.

A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave.,, Stamford, Conn. on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to The Basilica of St. John the Evangelist, 279 Atlantic St. in Stamford for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Darien. ]In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
