Susan Silverstone Darer, 76, Of Stamford, Retired Travel Agent

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Susan Silverstone Darer, 76, of Stamford, died Tuesday, March 17.

She was born Sept. 10, 1938, in New York City.

Darer graduated from Scarsdale High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College.

She worked in the international television business for many years and traveled extensively in service to the U.S. government.

She also worked as a travel agent in Stamford and later in her life was employed by Juner Properties.

Darer was also a member of the Stamford Art Association, an usher for the Palace Theater and Curtain Call, and a member of the interfaith New World Chorus.

She helped establish the Memory Café in Stamford.

Survivors include one son, John Darer; two daughters, Anne Darer (Mark) Davis and Sarah Darer (Hank Eskin) Littman; one sister, Barbara Garrison; and four grandchildren.

Her husband, Stanley, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Temple Beth El, 350 Roxbury Road, Stamford.

Burial will follow in the Sharon Gardens, Valhalla, N.Y.
