Roman Perun, 72, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Roman Perun of Stamford died Sept. 20 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was 72. 

Born Nov. 15, 1939, in Poland, to Wasyl and Antonina Perun. He came to the U.S. in 1960. He worked at Pitney Bowes for 30 years and enjoyed fly-fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. 

Perun is survived by his wife, Bronislawa Tarczynski Perun; three daughters, Helen Szegda, Dana Perun and Barbara Zeldis; a stepson, Peter Tarczynski; a sister, Anna Perun Gres; five grandchildren; and many nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers, Peter Perun, Stefan Perun and Emil Perun.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Bosak Funeral Home in Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Stamford. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Stamford.
