He was born in Glogow, Poland, March 15, 1952, to the late Theodore and Antonia Juszcak Ropicki. He was an employee of Grade A Market in Norwalk for 19 years and was also a member of the Holy Name Athlethic Club.
He is survived by his son, Derek R. Ropicki (Elizabeth) of Michigan; a brother of Stamford; two sisters; three brothers-in-law; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister.
Friends and family may call Wednesday, July 8 from 4-8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Thursday, July 9 at 9:30 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 24 Wenzel Terrace, Stamford. Interment will be held at a later date.
