Raymond Alfred Pace, 91, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. - Raymond Alfred Pace, a resident of Stamford and a former longtime resident of Darien, died Wednesday, Sept. 24. He was 91.

Pace was born Oct. 5, 1922, in New Haven, to Victor and Zenobia Pacapelli. He worked his way to college, was drafted out of the Virginia Military Institute after D-Day and served in Patton's Army.

Pace is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; children, Francine Scinto (Dan) of Santa Ana, Calif., Cecile Windels (Dale Rosenberger) of Darien, Christopher Pace (Melissa Duggan) of Los Angeles, Calif., and Stephan Pace (Jill) of Lake Forest, Ill.; eight grandchildren; sister, Jean Scialabba of Hamden; and thirteen additional nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
