Pauline Amen, 84, Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Pauline Amen, 84, long time resident of Stamford, died Sunday, Sept. 27.

She was born in New Canaan on Sept. 9, 1931, to John and Lucy (Stella) Amen. 

She started her position as a bookkeeper for the Clam Box restaurant in Old Greenwich at the age of 23 and worked there 32 years until its closing in 1986. 

She continued her bookkeeping work for a local law firm until her retirement in 1999. 

She is survived by two sisters; Florence Ritch and Irene Pedicini (Arthur) and a brother, John Amen, Jr. (Joey). 

She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Perry. 

A memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave.

At Amen's request, the interment will be held in private. 

The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave.
