Olga Biagini, Stamford Resident, 99

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Olga Biagini, a Stamford resident, died Friday, Feb. 27, in Framingham, Mass. She was 99 years old.

Born on April 9, 1915 in Lucca, Italy, Biagini was the daughter of the late Pietro Biagioni and Anna (Nardinelli) Biagioni.

She emigrated to the United States in 1929, enrolled in night school to learn the English language and became an American citizen in 1950.

After working as a seamstress in a factory, she was employed by Clairol, Inc. in 1964 until she retired in 1983. Biagini dreamed of returning to Italy to visit, and in 1977 her dream came true.

Biagini is survived by her beloved daughter, Laura Steele, and son-in-law David; her grandchildren, Christopher and Erika; her brother-in-law, Henry Biagini; and her nephews and nieces, Albert Masetti, Larry Biagini, Susan (Biagini) Schectman, Angela (Biagini) Molgano, and Lisa (Biagini) Cooke.

She was predeceased by her brother Frank Biagioni, sister Divia (Biagioni) Masetti, sister-in-law Susan (Loffredo) Biagini, and niece Anna (Biagioni) Hart.

Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Internment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, Conn.
