STAMFORD, Conn. - Nereida Rivera of Stamford died May 25. She was 73.
Rivera was born Aug. 16, 1939, in Barranquitos, Puerto Rico to Guadalupe and Josefa (Cartagena) Santiago.
Rivera is survived by her children, Maria L. Morris (Timothy) of Stamford, Antonio Rivera, Jr (Melissa) of Danbury, Angel L. Rivera (Olga) of West Haven, and Alberto S. Rivera of Stamford; grandchildren Lizette, Antonio III, Jacqueline, Christian, Danielle, Ashley Marie, Sean, Ryan, Justin and Antonio; and a brother and sister in Puerto Rico. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Antonio Rivera.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Ave. in Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich.
