Vassallo was born Oct. 8, 1917, in Stamford to Caesar and Cornelia Colarossi Latte. She was employed as an electronic assembler at CBS Laboratories in Stamford for many years before her retirement.
Vassallo is survived by her children, Carol Roberto (Richard) of Shelton, Conn., Charles Vassallo , Jr. (Beverly) of Oxford, Conn., Cornelia Vassallo of Stamford; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Charles; five sisters and two brothers.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 2 from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902. A funeral procession will leave Wednesday, April 3 at 10 a.m. from the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
