STAMFORD, Conn. - Marie M. LaGuardia, 86, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died Saturday, May 2.
She was born Nov. 30, 1928, to Anthony LaGuardia and Sarah Palucci LaGuardia.
She worked as a secretary for the Stamford Board of Education’s maintenance department for many years.
LaGuardia was active in the Special Olympics. She was also a member of the Sons of Italy in Norwalk.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, two brothers, Michael and Aniello LaGuardia; and one sister, Ann LaGuardia, preceded her in death.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
