STAMFORD, Conn. - Margaret R. Hoder of Stamford died Monday, May 13. She was 86.
Hoder was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Triadelphia, West Virginia, to Steve and Elizabeth Somody Hoder, Sr. She was employed at the Stamford Water, Co. as a secretary for 30 years before her retirement in 1993.
Hoder is survived by her nieces, Leslie J. Nauta of Norwalk, Patricia Wangen of Bristol: a nephew, Stephen M. Hoder, III of Danbury; and a great nephew. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Elizabeth Ann Hoder; and brothers, Steve Hoder, Jr. and John Hoder.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16 at St. Benedict’s RC Church, 1 St. Benedict Circle, Stamford. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Ave., Stamford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hoder’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91, Tech Ctr, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
