Jean Windt, 90, Former Stamford Hospital Supervisor

STAMFORD, Conn. – Jean D. McCann Windt, a retired supervisor at Stamford Hospital, died Nov. 12 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was 90.

Windt was a retired supervisor in the Physical Therapy Department at Stamford Hospital.

She was born March 28, 1920, in Port Austin, Mich., to John and Della Perdue McCann. She graduated from Michigan State University and received a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Bridgeport.

Before joining Stamford Hospital, Windt worked for Bridgeport Rehabilitation. She traveled throughout the world with the Physical Therapy Association. She was a longtime resident of Stratford, Conn.

Windt is survived by two sons, Richard (Donna) Windt, of Stratford, and Jonathan (Barbara) Windt, of San Diego; a brother, Thomas McCann, of Seattle; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jack P. Windt; and a daughter, Jill.

Funeral services and interment will be private. Adzima Funeral Home in Stratford is handling arrangements.
