James Brennan, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- James Brennan, of Stamford, died on Dec. 19. He was 89.

He was born in 1926 in County Cavan, Ireland. He came to the United States as a young man. He was employed with New York Telephone Co. for 40 years in a management position. 

A favorite hobby of his for many years was making stained glass Tiffany-style lampshades and Irish lamps decorated with harps and shamrocks.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter Paula Eytel; grandchildren David and Jennifer Eytel; brothers Andy (Josie) Sean, and Connie (Mary); sisters Peggy Whelahan (Tom), Molly Deneny and Brigid McClure (Robert); brother- and sister-in-law John Dinneny and Margaret Brennan; and his godchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Eddie and sister Nancy Dinneny. 

All services will be private. Funeral arrangements were handled by Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
