Frankel was born Jan. 30, 1939, in Norwalk, to Seymour and Edna White Frankel. He along with Suzanne, his wife, was the owner and operator of Bon Ton Fish Market in Greenwich, Conn., for over 30 years, before retiring to Palm Beach Gardens.
Frankel is survived by his wife, Suzanne LeBeau Frankel; son, David C. Frankel (Catherine B.) of New York, N.Y.; daughter, Diane Gremalis of Milford, Conn.; four grandchildren; and sisters, Ann Baena of West Palm Beach, Hannah Stein of Calif., Sandra Glynn of Darien, Conn., Margot Webb of Norwalk, Conn., and Linda Waetjen of San Antonio,Texas. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Dr. Alan T. Frankel; and brother, Frederick Frankel.
Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 28 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, Conn., with a service to be held at 11 a.m. with Rabbi Edward Schecter officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Ave., Stamford.
