Helen M. McGuinness, 93, Longtime Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. - Helen M. McGuinness, a longtime resident of Stamford, died Oct. 22. She was 93.

McGuinness was born in 1920, in Stamford, daughter of Michael and Mary Tirpak.

McGuinness is survived by her daughters, Bunny Kerrigan (Robert) of Haymarket, Va.; Peggy Albu (George) of Winter Park, Fla.; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Ella Olsen and Joan Dineen. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Ford T. McGuinness, former owner of the Stamford Colony Grill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 914 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
